  Question: Can Trump shut down SNL through an executive order?  This was asked and answered on Quora and so badly answered that I had to add my two cents.  First of all, the claim that Trump is a billionaire "ten times over" is wildly incorrect.  So Trump is worth $6.24 billion, and most of that is stock in Truth Social, which may or may not ever be a real asset that he could cash out.  Second of all, if he were to buy the 90 minute time slot that SNL occupies, at whatever price NBC charges, he would have to do so every week or the network would just resume running the show. In any case, buying the airtime at Saturday 11:30 eastern would accomplish nothing, NBC could just air the show earlier in primetime.  So, NO, Trump cannot silence anyone on a whim, no matter how much he thinks he's a King.

Question:  Why does Trump seem to want to annex Canada, Greenland and the Panama Canal?  - D. Tod It's hard to figure out what's going on with Trump. Maybe he really wants to do this for his Legacy . Maybe it's just more of his usual bluster and nonsense. In any case, this will all go the way of his Wall that Mexico will pay for:  bringing back manufacturing, repealing Obamacare, 4% economic growth and so forth. Most of his plans involve factors beyond his control and will never happen.
